Summer Hours
With all their fleece, you can imagine that alpacas are geared for cold weather. Even after they are shorn they can succumb quickly to the heat of Summer.

To beat the high temps during the hottest part of the Summer, we hold tours and events in the evenings an hour or so before sundown. Therefore the time for these events will be dictated by the heat.

Rain or Melting Snow
If we have significant rain on the day before or the day of the event, it will be really muddy and slick out here. The same goes if we have melting snow and ice. Please be sure to bring appropriate footwear.

If it is raining during the time event, the alpacas will pack themselves into their shelter to stay dry and won’t want to come out for guests.

In those cases, we will call to officially cancel the event. If for some reason we miss calling you, please call us to make sure the event is still on.

Below Freezing Temps
Alpacas are a cold weather animal, but when the temps drop very low, they stay in their shelters and keep themselves warm by cushing on a thick layer of straw. We don’t enjoy seeing the animals shivering and we know you wouldn’t either. So if it is below freezing (32 degrees), all events will be cancelled.

If we do have to cancel an event for any reason, this is how we will handle it:

Special Events
(Alpaca Yoga, Painting with Pacas, etc.):
We will schedule a new date for the event and we will keep you informed.

If you cannot attend on the rescheduled date, we will refund your money. Just let us know: (918) 815-1120

Weekly Events
(Farm Tours, Alpaca Walks, etc.):
You are welcome to choose another date and we can move you to that day, or we can refund your money. Just let us know which you prefer: (918) 815-1120
